I Won!

Today I decided to cash in on my winnings. Most of you know one of my favorite parts of living in Taiwan is the receipt lottery. On the top of each and every receipt you get is a nine digit number. If you hold onto your reciepts for two months, they publish about 8 different numbers and if yours matches, you win (don't worry, for the smallest prize you only have to match the last three numbers). So, I went to the bank, handed over five receipts and walked out with the equivalent of $40! The teller told me I was very lucky, and I agree (the roommates have all given up on the lottery because they've never won). As a girl who doesn't gamble, I thrive on this free opportunity for a game of chance.
