Carole - Part 2

I talked to Carole again tonight, and things seem to have changed! If anyone follows the weather (and I certainly don't), you might know there is a huge cyclone heading towards the west coast of Australia. Obviously, the boat can't go out and the company can't pay to keep all the staff in hotels for days, so they let half the workers "go". Meaning they are going to pay for them to take an 18 hour bus ride up to Broome where they can join the ship again (or get on some other ship). They were supposed to leave tonight: does an 18 hour bus ride in the middle of a cyclone sound like fun to anyone? Thankfully, she said, the bus was cancelled and they'll stay in Exmouth until the weather is passable. She said Exmouth has a supermarket, two pubs and a hotel: fun times!
