Birthday Weekend
Sunday was my roommate
Julia's birthday. She's been used to quite
extravagant "birthday weekends" in the past (including a 21st birthday with eight different cakes).
Louise,
Kathleen and I were weary from a 6 day work week, but we did our best to make her day special (although relaxed too). We had a great lunch at New York Bagels (our "Sex in the City diner" as the girls call it). They even let us light candles on her birthday cupcakes, although the candles turned out to be sparklers, so we blew them out really quickly to prevent a disaster.
The afternoon was a
Mad Hot Ballroom and
Take the Lead movie fest and then we went back out for dinner at Tony Romano's (so that Julia could wear her
fabulous blue dress). Our co-worker Kerry had her birthday on Friday, so they both cut the cake together (Phoebe is cracking up in the background because the whole thing seemed very wedding-y.) Speaking of Kerry, she's getting married on Sunday!!!!! We're all going and I'm so excited for her. Pictures to come!
