Light Extravaganza
I always get a kick out of the decorations in Taipei. On
Renai circle we've had everything from giant plastic dogs to Cinderella's carriage. For the new year they've put up a giant diamond shaped thing that changes color and has strobe lights. Also there's the search lights and more twinkle lights that really necessary (the ones you see are just the beginning, and they all flash). The "show" starts at 7pm, and the first night we were walking home around 6:45 and saw all these people and families waiting for something. I have to say it was rather
underwhelming, but, hey, if everyone else is taking a picture...
