A Night at KTV
On Carole's last night in Taipei, we decided to do something traditional:
KTV karaoke! Carole had never been, and the experience in Taipei is quite different than
karaoke in China. After dinner, and a hike up a billion stairs, we went to a
Partyworld near our house. We always joke that it's the mafia
KTV (someone told us stories once), and it's a posh place (chandeliers, leather couches, bouquets). We had our own room for two hours of classic songs and silliness.
At the end of the night, we came out of the building face on into about 30 police officers! There were police cars up and down the street and they all seemed to be standing in formation waiting for something... or someone!
